Online Services

If you wish to, you can now use the internet to book appointments with a GP, request repeat prescriptions for any medications you take regularly and look at your medical record online. You can also still use the telephone or call in to the surgery for any of these services as well. It’s your choice.

Being able to see your record online might help you to manage your medical conditions. It also means that you can even access it from anywhere in the world should you require medical treatment on holiday. If you decide not to join or wish to withdraw, this is your choice and practice staff will continue to treat you in the same way as before. This decision will not affect the quality of your care.

You will be given login details, so you will need to think of a password which is unique to you. It will be necessary to go online and create your own unique account.  This will ensure that only you are able to access your record – unless you choose to share your details with a family member or carer.

                                                  Try the New NHS App

If you’re a patient at our practice you can now use the new NHS App, a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet.

You can use the NHS App to check your symptoms and get instant advice, book appointments, order repeat prescriptions, view your GP medical record and more.

If you already use EMIS online you can continue to use it. You can use the NHS App as well.

Surgery Update November  2020

We are OPEN, and very busy!

We are fully aware of the many stories in the national press about GP surgeries not being open. We also understand that we all want things to go back to how they were before the pandemic, and that  the initial support for the NHS, which was strong at the start of the pandemic, is wearing thin. Please know that we are doing the best that we can for our patients.

We cannot comment on what other surgeries are doing – but want to re-assure you that-

We are OPEN!

All GP appointment requests must still be first triaged over the phone, and if you cannot be safely managed over the phone or video consultation, we will arrange for a face to face appointment for you.

Please be aware that as the winter approaches we will be making changes to our blood testing service at Loughton Health Centre.

From Monday 12th October 2020  the Phlebotomist will be here on Mondays Tuesdays. Wednesdays and Fridays from 8.30am.

Patients will be able to attend on each of these days without an appointment for a blood test however this will be a limited service to allow us to offer booked appointments for our elderly and vulnerable patients during the winter months.

Please visit our services page for details of other locations that offer the phlebotomy service

At Loughton Health Centre  we are taking steps to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all patients and staff at the practice during the COVID-19 Pandemic. If you have symptoms of a high temperature, a new and continuous cough, a loss or change to your sense of smell and taste or you live with someone that is experiencing any of these symptoms you should  self-isolate as per NHS Guidance for 10 days. (see below for the latest COVID-19 advice).

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, how you contact us will be different. This is to limit face-to-face contact whenever possible and help stop the spread of coronavirus.
Your GP practice is open and if you need to see your GP, please ring us on 0208 502 5000 or book an appointment on line.

You can also call NHS 111.

Please do not come to the surgery unless you have an appointment.

Appointments are being delivered face-to-face, online and over the telephone. If you are asked to come into the surgery for a face-to-face appointment, please remember to wear a face covering. Measures are in place to keep you safe from infection during your visit to the surgery.

Should you need a sickness certificate for work for an absence related to Covid-19, you can download one below . There is no need to contact us.
